AmericaLate was a magazine that had the goal of celebrating Latin American culture. It included art, music, architecture, trends, etc. It highlighted creative artists and personalities. It was originated with the idea of representing the “Latin beat.” Not just the music beat but the Latin’s heartbeat. The concept being that Latin people are passionate and romantic. That their heart beats at a “different rate” and Latin music has a very distinct “beat.”
I designed the branding, magazine layout, website and all promotional materials. The target audience was people between the ages of 18 to 60 who enjoyed modern trends. The identity I created was modern but used warm colors and represented “the beat.” I used bold images and photography to represent the Latin character and personality.
